Flint CPA, P.C. was founded in 1987 to provide quality income tax planning and preparation services at a competitive price. We strive to give clients unequaled personal attention so they have satisfaction that their tax needs are met each year. Most of our staff has been with us for over ten years so our clients meet with the same professional each year. Virginia has worked at Ken Flint, P.C. for over 11 years. She was one of the first graduates of UTSA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management. She has over 25 years of experience in the tax field. She started her career with a small CPA firm San Antonio. Then as a military wife, she worked for accounting firms in Jacksonville, NC and Virginia Beach, VA and H&R Block in Silver Spring, MD. She enjoys meeting people and assisting them with their yearly income tax preparation. She also is proficient in QuickBooks and assists clients with data entry and adjustments to their QuickBooks to prepare for their tax return. She is organized, focused, detail oriented with a goal to help you save your hard earned income.
Steve joined the firm in 1989. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1979. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant. He has over 30 years' experience working in accounting and tax. He has vast knowledge of the tax code and Internal Revenue Manual. He has experience in the following areas: Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust, & Estate Tax.
Ken founded the firm in 1987 and has been preparing income tax returns, resolving IRS problems and providing tax planning services for over 30 years. Ken graduated from James Madison University and has worked in the public accounting industry in the beginning of his career. Prior to starting Flint, CPA he worked for the Internal Revenue Service and Ernst & Young, CPA's (the largest of the big four accounting firms). He specializes in tax preparation, tax planning, and resolving IRS problems. Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris joined our firm in November of 2000. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1981 (summa cum laude) and Ohio State College of Law in 1984. After that, he worked for Arthur Young & Co. and Touche Ross & Co. (both big four accounting firms), then for Georgia Pacific Corporation where he specialized in corporate and international tax issues. He has over 25 years of tax experience specializing in return preparation for individuals, small businesses and trusts; tax planning; and consulting regarding IRS matters. He also teaches a corporate tax course at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
A 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University, Jason joined our firm in 2010 after beginning his professional career in Houston, with CIMA Energy, Ltd. While at CIMA, he worked as an Oil & Gas Accountant and as a Producer Services Scheduler, where he dealt with pipeline companies and counterparties scheduling natural gas deliveries and accounting for complex derivative transactions. While working full time, he completed the Masters in Accountancy at the University of Houston. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has experience in preparing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts & corporations. He has expertise in issues involving oil & gas, royalty owners, real estate developers and oil & gas services. Jason has also prepared delinquent tax returns, resolved various IRS issues and negotiated with IRS Agents. Jason is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Scott joined our firm in March of 2014. He graduated from the University of Incarnate Word in 2011. Prior to joining us, Scott worked in various capacities, including working abroad in South Korea. He is a certified Enrolled Agent with the IRS for demonstrating significant tax knowledge. Enrolled Agent's, like CPA's and attorneys, are granted unrestricted rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He specializes in complex individual tax preparation, IRS representation, small businesses, and is always alert to tax planning opportunities for our clients.
